it needs to work independently of the Recordzilla window being open. Yes you can use the countdown and increase how long you get but it would be much slicker to just use the hot keys
When I try to record my live screen when I am doing C Graphics Programming using Borland Turbo 3.0 (16 Bits), It can't be recorded, only the windows desktop is coming, but whatever I speak through Microphone is recorded.
The main window has to be dragged out the way to select a region, it would be better to not require that you selectm the area to record until you click the record key, it would make the hot keys more useful too.

The program does not record sound when one uses headphones. Secondly, after I set the recording window on the screen, anything that appears under this window is untouchable. More to that, the program's menu window appears under the video recording...
Sound recording is very poor, I cannot use headphones, I must listen to the entire movie, more to that, when I play the recorded movie, the sound is of bad quality and very quiet.
